Plans & Goals

Although we're starting out small, we've got big plans ahead.

Observation Network Expansion

Radar Gaps in the United States

While we have a significant amount of weather observations, we must eliminate gaps in radar and stationary observations to forecast with utmost accuracy.

Our StarSonde Home Weather System allows us to fill in stationary observation gaps by putting a stationary observation system in as many places as possible. Finding a way to adapt radar into our models will allow us to eliminate all gaps in the United States weather radar network.

Advancing Weather Safety

Tornadoes and Hurricanes are some of the most common large-scale weather events in the United States. Be it an outbreak of tornadoes or a hurricane that could intensify five categories overnight, having little time to prepare could mean life or death.

Creating the highest-resolution forecast system of the modern era could produce a model that can predict a tornado with more than an hour of lead time.**

Hurricane intensity is concerning to everyone in the path of hurricanes. Innovating on dropsondes and forecast models is critical to ensuring the safety of individuals and property.

Sounding the Meteorological Route Less Traveled

It's hard to get a good picture of every part of the atmosphere when it's quadrillions of cubic meters in size. We can lower the difficulty.

By advancing the efficacy of Rocketsondes and developing multipurpose upper-atmospheric sondes, we can learn how the atmosphere operates at altitudes between one and ten millibars.

Providing Aid for Communities

image_edited.jpg

Being affected by disasters is unfortunately inevitable. Florida is ravaged by hurricanes frequently, the midwest tornadoes, and the northern states by snow in the winter. While most of the towns and cities can quickly recover, there are cases where that can't happen. This is especially true for individuals and families who choose not to/cannot evacuate.

One of our organization's key philanthropic focuses will be providing aid, including, but not limited to, temporary housing, clothing, and sustenance during and after major weather events.

Furthering Knowledge of the Environment

Climate misinformation is continuously a problem for us today.

By providing free education on meteorological and geological topics, we can eliminate the threats of climate misinformation while simultaneously creating the next generation of scientists who will shape the way we use and protect Earth's natural resources.

Sheltering Those in Need

While many individuals have evacuation and disaster plans made, some may not have access to safe options. We want to provide a place for people, even animals, to stay when the weather gets bad.

Occasionally, a home may be destroyed by the environment. It happens. We want to be there for those who suffer this loss and ensure they have a place to stay.

A Variety of American-Made Weather Sondes- All Under One Roof

image_edited.jpg

Sondes are devices used to take measurements. In the United States, some companies manufacture Radiosondes, others Dropsondes, and very few Ionosondes or Ozonesondes.

Our goal is to create all types of high-accuracy, cost-effective sondes for all applications.
As a bonus, we want them to be cheaper than the competition.
